Ralph Caretti is the Director of IT Systems and Services at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). In his role as Director of IT, Ralph is dedicated to facilitating the effective use of technology across all areas within Enrollment Management, as well as fostering collaborations with our institutional partners at UMBC. With a rich background in technology spanning over 30 years, Ralph has served in various technology roles within Higher Education, the military, and manufacturing sectors.
Ralph holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University, along with undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and MIS from Pennsylvania State University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, respectively. He has also obtained several industry certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), COMPTIA Project+, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and ITIL 4.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Ralph resides in Woodsboro with his wife and two children. He enjoys being an active participant in several Frederick County co-ed softball leagues, among his other hobbies.
